Rides the points races and takes his place as a regular in the Team pursuit alongside Ian and Darryl, and has won several medals in this prestigious event. He also partners Ian on the tandem. Picked out easily trackside with his trade mark fluorescent cycling shoes and designer shades, he can be seen 5 miles off. If that was not enough attention seeking, he has never been able to distinguish the velodrome from the changing room! Often the best place to find him in between events is in the cafe eating cake and guzzling espresso.
All know him as the "Mr Fix-it" and friendly contact for race events at home and abroad. When not on duty he doubles as team mechanic and advises on equipment, position and which wheels Darryl should try and break next. With his gadgets and gauges at the ready, he is always happy to make last minute alterations or swap out a failing piece of kit.
